Ditch the Itch

Bug season… some days it feels like it will never end.  Whether your oily pony is plagued by stable flies, horse flies, deer flies, mosquitoes, or other biting bugs, chances are that he's itchy.  Once you've treated him all over with an all-natural oily fly spray (click here for recipe), spot treat his itchy bites with this blend!

In a small bottle, combine the following:

2 oz carrier oil (any veggie oil, but fractionated coconut oil is preferred)

10 drops each of:

Lavender

Peppermint

Melaleuca (tea tree)

Myrrh

Basil

Alternately, if you would prefer to rub it on the itchy spots (especially if they're visibly irritated and are easy to target), you can add these oils to an unscented lotion or cream and rub that on.

Reapply as needed.
