Improved training with oils

Whether you have a weanling, a green horse, or an international-level competition horse… or anything in between… essential oils can be a fun and effective addition to your training program!

While nothing can replace the benefit of proper, safe, and gentle training, oils can be used to enhance your oily pony's frame of mind and emotional state so they are more receptive to their lessons.  In fact, teachers of tiny humans across the world are now starting to learn about the benefits of oils to learning minds.  Why not try this on your horses, too?

In a small spray bottle, combine 1oz carrier oil (any veggie oil, but fractionated coconut oil is recommended) with the following.

20 drops vetiver
10 drops lavender
5 drops sandalwood
5 drops ylang ylang
5 drops clary sage

To apply, spray it on the poll. If your horse is reactive to sprays around its ears, you can instead spray it on your hands and rub it on his nose and forehead, being careful to avoid the eyes.
